Magic of Metals 19th Annual Golf Classic 2007 - in support of the Children's Wish Foundation

Artist Statement

Thanks to all of the inspirations that make this fundraising event possible and thanks to The Magic of Metals for their devotion in fulfilling a child’s wish.

Where does the beach begin and where does the beach end?

To quote Robert Frost…”The heart can think of no devotion greater then being shore to the ocean.”

For the children in this painting and they’re parents...where does the beach end?

It is never ending and passes from generation to generation.

Giclee Prints

What is a Giclee Print?

While computers are critical to the production of giclee prints the ultimate goal is to present the artistic vision on paper. In giclee printing, no screen or other mechanical devices are used and therefore there is no visible dot screen pattern as in tradition lithographic printing processes. The image has all the tonalities and hues of the original painting. Giclee (pronounced Gee'clay) is a French term meaning to spray or squirt, which is how an inkjet printer works. However, it is not the same as a standard desktop inkjet printer, and is much larger. The inks used are light fast, water based and should be treated as fine art reproductions and kept from direct sunlight. They are also equipped with UV mediums and printed on archival paper.
